The mission of Kent Denver Hockey is to develop exceptional student-athletes who understand that being a great teammate, both on and off the ice, is our highest priority. We are committed to fostering a culture that honors Kent Denver’s rigorous academic standards, promotes multi-sport participation, and inspires lifelong personal and athletic growth.

Be a Great Teammate - "Take care of the person sitting to your right, take care of the person sitting to your left…and the person that benefits the most is the person in the middle."

Being a great teammate is the foundation of our program. It means celebrating another’s success as much as your own, lifting others up when they stumble, and holding each other accountable with respect. We show up for each other in the locker room, on the ice, and as peers within Kent Denver’s academic community.

Compete - "We will compete in everything that we do!"

Competing isn't just about the scoreboard; it’s a mindset. We bring maximum effort to every shift, every drill, every off ice workout and every academic challenge. We welcome adversity because it tests our resolve, and we play with a relentless work ethic that defines who we are.

Discipline - "Discipline will carry you when motivation leaves.”

True discipline is doing the right thing even when no one is watching. It means managing your time as a multi-sport student-athlete, staying composed under pressure, and respecting officials, coaches, and opponents. We take pride in the details that lead to excellence.

Leave It Better - "Build something that is bigger than you as a person or an athlete.”

We are temporary caretakers of the Kent Denver jersey. Every day, we strive to elevate the standard of this program and our school. Whether it's cleaning the locker room, mentoring younger players, or setting a positive example on campus, we ensure that our impact leaves Kent Denver Hockey better than we found it.
